Welcome! My name is Georgia and I’m a 20 year old physiotherapy student, personal trainer and wannabe travel blogger from Australia.
Whether you’re a first time traveller, or a seasoned backpacker with no passport pages left unfilled, I hope this blog will be informative, engaging and allow me to share my experiences with other like minded travellers.
Having had itchy feet since my first trip to Europe when I was still in school, I took the first opportunity I could to go over seas independently at the ripe old age of 17, ditching the traditional idea of schoolies, and instead riding from the north to the south of Vietnam on a push bike. Since then I haven’t looked back. Every opportunity and break from uni that I get, I head overseas and try to get amongst nature and do as many adventure activities as I can.
I’ve been to Europe, Indonesia, South East Asia, Nepal, New Zealand and soon will be venturing to Canada, Central and South America. On all of these tips I’ve either been riding, hiking, skiing, scuba diving, Muay Thai-ing, swimming, canoeing or a combination of all of these, as a way to explore and get to know the country.
After an unfortunate cyclist VS Car accident causing me to fracture my femur , I’ve had to take the year off university, which has left me with ~6months of travel time!
With a tight uni-student-budget, i hope to show people that you can travel with very little money and have a great time while doing it. You just have to be willing to do your research, be smart about where you go and what you do, and trust that even when you loose all your possessions, almost die at 5550m altitude and get ridiculously lost in Thailand, that it will all be okay in the end and you’ll have a great story to tell afterwards. Thats worked for me so far anyway, so lets hope it stays that way!
True that travel is the only thing that you can buy, that makes you richer- but if its cheap to begin with, then thats even better!
