Bolivia is a highly diverse country, from high capital cities and mountain ranges, to desserts, salt flats and epic markets and often highly terrifying bus rides. If there’s one thing that makes Bolivia stand out from its surrounding countries, it’s that high altitude is almost unavoidable. Potosi claims the name of the highest city in the world, La Paz is the highest capital city in the world and Lake Titicaca claims to be the highest navigable lake worldwide.

My time in Bolivia was brief, stopping only in LaPaz, Sucre and Uyuni, before hopping the border for onward travel in Chile.
